C’est au cours de l’évènement annuelle du groupe, organisé en partenariat avec des marques de l’industrie textile (Marzotto fabrics, Cotonificio Albini, Officina Ciemmeci, Tessitura Pastorelli, Macpi, Remmert et Bemis) à Vérone au Palazzo della Gran Guardia les 13 et 14 septembre, que le talent de l’étudiante diplômée 2018 d’Esmod Lyon a été primé. 50 étudiants issus de 25 écoles européennes ont participé au concours sur le thème « fashioning Sustainability » et c’est donc à la suite d’une rude compétition que ce prix a été décerné. Pour Freudenberg Performance Materials, performance et développement durable vont de pair, ce que le jury de 15 professionnels souhaitait retrouver dans les propositions des étudiants sur la base de 2 silhouettes et une vidéo de présentation de la collection et du concept développé. En jeu, 3 prix d’une valeur de 2000 euros remis à l’issu d’un défilé : innovation, technique, style. L’initiative visait avant tout à rassembler de jeunes designers talentueux et l’industrie du vêtement européenne pour démontrer l’importance du développement durable en tant que moteur de l’innovation.
Après une première sélection, 12 étudiants étaient finalistes dont 4 français, pour ESMOD LYON : Vincent DISSAUX et Lorena MAZO FRENCH pour ESMOD ROUBAIX : Ivanne BOUCAUT et Alix MOTTE Cocorico ! Un excellent résultat pour ESMOD, qui confirme l’intérêt croissant des étudiants pour le développement durable, thème majeur dans l’enseignement, tout en y apportant la valeur ajoutée d’une réflexion de mode pour séduire les consommateurs et changer le monde positivement. Les 4 étudiants étaient à Vérone, et ont pu y croiser des professionnels de haut niveau. Alix MOTTE par exemple (ESMOD ROUBAIX) a été contactée par MONCLER qui souhaite des compléments de photos pour lui faire une proposition. Une excellente ambiance pour le groupe français, ravie d’assister à cette rencontre professionnelle de haut niveau.
Mais revenons aux propositions de notre gagnante, qui avait déjà été vivement apprécié par le jury de fin d’année à Lyon en Juin et toute surprise de cette belle récompense. « J’ai travaillé sur le recyclage. Quand j’étais enfant j’adorais jouer dans notre jardin, et surtout dans le petit ruisseau qui le traversait. Au fil des années, j’ai vu les déchets s’accumuler et la bataille du recyclage a commencé pour moi. Pour ma collection de fin d’étude, j’ai donc patiemment collecté des papiers de bonbons et gâteaux divers, colorés et joyeux, mais que l’on retrouve souvent à terre ou plus simplement dans les poubelles de l’école. Une masse de papiers imprimés pour séduire petits et grands et que j’ai traité, lavé, découpé, enduit et appliqué sur des bio textiles et des chambrays. »
Elisabeth de Senneville présidente du jury à Lyon, avait tout de suite été séduite par le propos qui faisait écho à son travail de recherche et d’innovation. Elle lui avait alors proposé un stage à Paris, un coup de cœur de la créatrice. Ce prix confirme que l’avenir est donc ouvert pour cette curieuse, créative et passionnée de mode et d’innovation dont le travail traduit parfaitement les questionnements de la mode contemporaine.

For Freudenberg Performance Materials, performance and sustainable development go hand in hand, so the jury of 15 professionals wanted to see this synergy in the students' proposals, based on two silhouettes and a video presentation of the collection and the developed concept. 3 prizes worth 2,000 euros were at stake, and had been awarded at the end of a fashion show for different aspects: innovation, technique, style.
The initiative was aimed above all at bringing together talented young designers and the European garment industry to demonstrate the importance of sustainable development as a driver of innovation.

Сock-a-doodle-doo ! An excellent result for ESMOD, which confirms the growing interest of its students in sustainable development, a major theme in education, that provides the added value of fashion thinking to seduce consumers and change the world for the better.
The 4 students were in Verona, and were able to meet with the top professionals. Alix MOTTE for example (ESMOD ROUBAIX) has been contacted by MONCLER which wanted more photos to make a proposal.
An excellent atmosphere for the French group, delighted to attend this high-level professional meeting.
But back to the proposals of our winner, who had already been greatly appreciated by the jury of the end at the year show in Lyon in June and was also surprised by this beautiful reward. « I worked on recycling. When I was a child, I loved to play in our garden, and especially in a small stream that ran through it. Over the years, I have seen garbage accumulate and my battle for recycling has begun right there. For my graduation collection, I patiently collected various papers from candy and cakes, colorful and happy, but often found on the floor or more simply in the trash bins at the school. A mass of printed papers to seduce young and old that I have treated, washed, cut, coated and applied on organic textiles and chambrays. »
Elisabeth de Senneville, president of the jury in Lyon, was immediately seduced by what echoed her research and innovation work. She had then offered him an internship in Paris, a dream for any designer. This award confirms that the future is open for those, who are curious, creative and passionate for fashion and innovation, whose work perfectly reflects the issues of contemporary fashion.
